Advice to Availon on taking over the wind energy activities of Voith Industrial Services

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Rheine-headquartered Availon GmbH on the acquisition of Voith Industrial Services GmbH. The acquisition price was not disclosed. The Federal Cartel Office has already approved the transaction.

Availon GmbH is one of Europe's leading manufacturer-independent service providers for wind energy systems. As member of the Voith Group, Hamburg-based Voith Industrial Services GmbH offered full service solutions for wind energy systems of manufacturers General Electric, Vestas, Gamesa, Nordex and DeWind.

The takeover will allow Availon to considerably strengthen and expand its leading position in the field of manufacturer-independent services for wind energy systems.
