Aiport Munich GmbH (Transfer of shares of ACCOR)

In addition to the already existing Kempinski Hotel at Terminal 2, the Munich airport will also be home to a mid-scale hotel to be built on a 10,000 square meter site in the north-western section of the airport grounds.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Flughafen München GmbH from the beginning on the legal possibilities for the arrangements through to notarial certification. We created all contract concepts and supported legal support for the bidding procedure. We led the negotiations with the bidders until the contract was entered into with the preferred bidder. The contract was awarded to the French hotel group Accor with offices around the world.

Opening of the three-star-plus hotel with its 250 rooms in the medium price range is scheduled for fall of 2009. The building will be around 56m in length and width and over 19m in height. Construction started at the beginning of 2008. The total investment is approximately EUR 27 million.
