Family Centers

North-Rhine Westphalia's Ministry for Intergenerational Affairs, Family, Women and Integration began the pilot phase for the “family centers” project in 2006.

North-Rhine Westphalia is supposed to become the most family-friendly state in Germany. The state is planning to develop children’s daycare centers into family centers. The family centers are to improve early childhood education and at the same make it easier for families to balance family and work.Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek provided advice to the Ministry (MGFFI NRW) on the Europe-wide issuing of contracts for project development and scientific support in the area of public procurement law and contract law.
