Zoogesellschaft Osnabrück e.V. intended to extend the existing grounds of the zoo on an area of 5.5 hectares south of the existing zoo and to build a new African themed landscape by the name of Takamanda. One half of the project was funded through a subsidy program of the State of Lower Saxony and the EU and the other half through the own funds of Zoogesellschaft Osnabrück e. V.
On the basis of plans of the design team, a negotiated procedure was held with prior public pre-qualification evaluation in which Zoogesellschaft Osnabrück e. V. invited bids for the general contractor services. The contract volume is about EUR 8 million (gross amount).
We had already designed the award procedure for Zoogesellschaft Osnabrück e.V., in particular with respect to subsidy law, and the general contractor agreements. In addition, we performed the negotiations and supported the procedure up to the commissioning of the winning bidder and the conclusion of the contract.
