Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek increases the Tax department with a strong partner from Ernst & Young

The attorney Marion Sangen-Emden transfers on 1 January 2006 as a partner to the Düsseldorf office of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek. Ms. Sangen-Emden, initially a partner at Meilicke Hoffmann & Partner in Bonn, transferred early in 2003 as a partner to the Corporate Tax Service division of Ernst & Young in Düsseldorf. There she headed a strong tax practice and made a name for herself with numerous restructuring projects for corporate clients. Now Ms. Sangen Emden has decided to return to a large law firm. She leaves Ernst & Young with feelings of plaintiveness because her colleagues there had always strongly supported her professional career. She was a senior manager at the former Schitag Ernst & Young from 1990 to 1998 and, as a partner in the Corporate Tax Services division, built a team of 11 co-workers after 2003. Ms. Sangen-Emden has many years of experience, including abroad, involving a wide range of restructuring projects. She advises medium-sized and multinational companies in various industries and of various sizes on international tax law. She was born in 1961 and was admitted to the bar in 1990."We are delighted that Ms. Sangen Emden will bring her extensive expertise in the Corporate Tax Service division into our tax law team. She will hold a leading position in the transaction business of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek," commented Dr. Wolfgang Kühn and Dr. Dieter Bohnert on the new arrival. "By including Ms. Sangen-Emden, we are continuing our successful strategy of expanding our law firm of about 150 attorneys with qualified lateral entrants."
