Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek provides advice on redevelopment of stadium in Essen

By a large majority, the Essen City Council voted in favor of the new development of Georg-Melches Stadium in Essen. Costs for the stadium are estimated to be EUR 31 million. In its first expansion phase, the new stadium is to create space for approx. 20,000 visitors. With appropriate success of the team, the structure is to be expanded for up to 40,000 visitors. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall.

The property management company, Grundstücksverwaltungsgesellschaft Essen (GVE), which is a 100% subsidiary of the City of Essen, contracts out the master plan services for the new development of the stadium. The award procedure will likely be concluded in May 2009.

Dr. Ute Jasper and Dr. Kristina Neven-Daroussis from the Düsseldorf office of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek are responsible for the entire legal assistance in connection with the award procedure, in particular the conceptual process and the drafting of the award documents.
