Simon Hirsbrunner (45) will join the Brussels Office of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek as a Partner. Previously, he had been Associated Partner at Gleiss Lutz, also in Brussels. He will join Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek as soon as possible.
At Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Hirsbrunner will focus on strengthening the field of antitrust law: He is a proven expert in the area of merger control and cartel fine procedures and as such is regularly recommended in the relevant law firm directories.
He also represents companies in disputes on cartel damages claims and advises on compliance programs under antitrust law. Hirsbrunner additionally covers the fields of EU State aid law, trade law and energy law.
Hirsbrunner's particular industry expertise includes the Chemicals, Life Science, Automotive, Paper and Energy industries. His excellent network in Brussels is not least due to his former work as a Case Handler in the European Commission's Merger Task Force and his position as NonGovernmental Advisor in the International Competition Network (ICN).
