MT-Energie GmbH, one of Europe's leading producers of biogas plants, will commence with the placement of a corporate bond with a volume of up to EUR 30 million on Monday, March 19, 2012. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised MT-Energie GmbH in legal matters on the issuing of the corporate bond.
The bond is scheduled to be included in trading at the 'mittelstandsmarkt' segment of Düsseldorf Stock Exchange on April 4, 2012. Investors are offered an interest coupon of 8.25 percent annually with a maturity of five years. MT-Energie's credit rating was graded BBB- by Creditreform Rating AG, putting the company in the area of 'Investment Grade.' As financial covenant, an equity ratio of 20 percent was set.
MT-Energie GmbH is one of Europe's leading producers of plants in the forward-looking biogas industry. With the installation of more than 130 new plants in 2011, it accounted for a market share of about 15 percent in Germany, measured in terms of new plants. At the same time, the company was able to hand over to its operator the 500th biogas plant in Europe. The proceeds from the corporate bond are to be used to finance up to 50 new biogas plants in Germany and abroad and should also be used for strategic investments in Germany.
