Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Seyfert group on takeover by Palm group

French-German Seyfert group is selling its business to Palm group, headquartered in Germany. Family-led enterprise Seyfert with a long-standing tradition has been in existence for over 100 years and produces packaging solutions from corrugated cardboard. Seyfert has eight corrugated cardboard operations in Germany and France and a paper factory for the production of corrugated case material. In fiscal 2013, it generated revenue of EUR 280 million with a staff of 1,200.
 
In the process of the upcoming generational change, majority partner Frank Seyfert had decided to sell the company to Palm group effective June 01, 2014. Palm generated revenue of EUR 1.5 billion and employed 3,000 in 2013. The merger immediately followed the approval by the Federal Cartel Office.
 
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek has been advising Seyfert group for many years and comprehensively accompanied the sales process of the group's German interests. In France, Seyfert was represented by the law firm of Weil & Associés in Paris.
