Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek again recognized as "Top Law Firm for India Work"

As for the five years past, trade magazine Indian Business Law Journal has been analyzing the India-related business of commercial law firms worldwide in its "Intelligence Report 2014" this year. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek has again been recognized as the only German law firm in the area of "regional and specialist firms for India-related business."

Following an economic boom with above-average growth rates, the growth of Asia's third biggest national economy has slowed down considerably recently. Nevertheless, India is and remains an important sales market and trade partner for German enterprises. The demand for German investments and goods is constantly growing in India. In addition, Indian enterprises were able to establish themselves as suppliers on the German and European markets.

"Following the change of government, the Indian economy holds again a positive outlook into the future. The Indian stock markets welcomed the election victory of the previous opposition party, which had promised the expansion of Indian industry and the promotion of foreign investments in the election campaign. The change of government fuels the hope for more business-friendly policies in India that create growth and jobs. This could lead to a trend reversal, if the already launched simplification of foreign investments, the reduction of bureaucracy, and the regulatory opening of the financial markets will continue," said Dr. Martin Imhof, Partner at the law firm. Most recently, Imhof advised both Indian clients on their market entry into Germany and German clients on entering into strategic partnerships and investments in India, for example in the context of a logistics joint venture with Tata Steel.
