A team led by Dr. Michael Sörgel, Partner at the Düsseldorf office of the commercial law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, advised the family shareholders of Hermesmeyer Group on the sale of shares to Steadfast Capital Fund III. Private equity holding company Steadfast made its acquisition as part of a shareholder restructuring.
Business Manager Frank Hermesmeyer will continue to participate in the group, in order to personally and strategically support the corporate structure's further development.
Hermesmeyer Group was founded by the Hermesmeyer family in 1960. The wholesale distributor of items for the food industry, based in Mülheim an der Ruhr, specializes in just-in-time delivery to small restaurants and wholesalers, mainly in North-Rhine Westphalia.
Steadfast Capital GmbH, established in 2001, is a private equity business focusing on investments in medium-sized businesses. The funds invest in non-quoted companies to offer solutions for succession issues, spin-offs from larger groups, and to provide expansion capital for growth opportunities.
