BSI commissions Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek to prepare a study on cyber security architecture

In autumn 2018, the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) commissioned business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek to prepare a comprehensive study to take stock of the relevant actors in cyber security architecture in Germany.

The study is intended to identify the relevant public and private sector actors cyber security architecture and to examine their powers and legal and factual possibilities for influence in more detail. The study is conducted by lawyers Markus Lennartz, Dr. Lutz M. Keppeler, and Dr. Ruben A. Hofmann, jointly with a team of Heuking lawyers across several offices. It will take just under a year to complete.

“To date, there is no precise map of the relevant actors in cyber security architecture,” said Dr. Ruben A. Hofmann, “making this a very exciting task, in which we will carefully examine a field that has not yet been reviewed in its entirety.”

“We are keenly interested in the new findings which will further expand our comprehensive expertise in cyber security,” added Dr. Lutz M. Keppeler. “Being retained again for such an important project of the public sector after the Herkules follow-up project proves our firm’s strong market position in digitization and in particular also in IT security,” project leader Markus Lennartz was pleased to note.
