The German Ice Hockey League (DEL) has elected a new arbitral tribunal at its shareholders‘ meeting in Bremerhaven: Dr. Johan-Michel Menke, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, was appointed arbitrator for the arbitral tribunal. In addition to Menke, DEL appointed two further arbitrators and elected an additional member to the media and marketing commission.
Johan-Michel Menke is a certified specialist for employment law and has been advising on sports law for many years. Among others, he successfully represented the German Football Association in the dispute against referee Dr. Malte Dittrich and 1. FSV Mainz 05 e. V. against former goalkeeper Heinz Müller. In both cases, he won fundamental decisions for professional sports.
