ABN AMRO Energy Transition Fund B.V. invests in Ideematec Group

The Dutch ABN AMRO Energy Transition Fund B.V. agreed with the shareholders and the company on a growth financing investment in the Ideematec Group. A team of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek led by the Düsseldorf-based partner Dr. Martin Imhof advised ABN AMRO Energy Transition Fund comprehensively on the investment, including corporate, patent and tax aspects. The completion of the transaction is subject to merger control clearance, which is expected shortly.

Headquartered in Bavaria and having international subsidiaries in the United States, Chile, Turkey and the UK, Ideematec is a world leading supplier for key components of solar tracking systems for the installation of photovoltaic modules in solar parks. Ideematec has supplied components for over 2 GW of installed PV systems on six continents. Current flagship projects include the installation of 350 MW in Australia and 250 MW in Jordan. With the investment of ABN AMRO Energy Transition Fund, Ideematec will continue its growth and secure its position as a supplier for leading technology in the global PV market. The growth financing in particular enables Ideematec to further strengthen its presence in the MENA region, Asia and America and to increase its capacity.
