Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises PlusServer AG on taking over the hosting activities of synergetic group

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised PlusServer AG, part of intergenia group, on the acquisition of synergetic Technology AG, of Loomes AG including its subsidiary Netdepot GmbH (all based in Wendlingen), and the taking over of the ISP business of WebArt GmbH & Co. KG.

The portfolio of the business area taken over by PlusServer AG includes individual managed hosting solutions for international corporations, as well as high-availability e-commerce solutions. Shared hosting packages under the "Loomes" brand as well as digital MPLS fixed connections for Internet connection and networking at company sites are part of this business area. The synergetic servers are completely hosted in the company’s own highly modern computer center in Wendlingen near Stuttgart.

synergetic Technology AG is one of the leading IT solution providers focusing on the growth markets of cloud, ISP, and network technologies. As one of the leading full-service business Internet service providers in German-speaking countries, it offers innovative cloud and ISP solutions, white-label solutions for hosting providers, as well as professional and particularly secure site networks from its own computer center. Loomes AG, established in January 2000 in Frankfurt am Main, offers reasonably priced shared hosting packages with the synergetic Technology AG platform.

The takeover strengthens intergenia group’s position as one of the leading managed hosting providers in the German-speaking territory. With over two million active websites and around 40,000 customer systems in its own two computer centers in Europe and the U.S., PlusServer AG has been a global market leader in dedicated hosting for over 15 years. With the PlusServer, internet24, serverloft, Unmetered.com and Server4You brands, PlusServer AG covers the entire range of dedicated server solutions for business customers, private customers, and resellers.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises intergenia group on a regular basis.  In November 2011, Oakley Capital Private Equity acquired a majority stake in intergenia group. Most recently, intergenia group acquired Dresden-based internet24 GmbH in July 2013.
