Rübezahl-Riegelein group acquires ice cream confectionery manufacturer Eichetti with Heuking
A team led by Dr. Rainer Herschlein, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, advised private investors from the family shareholders of Rübezahl-Riegelein group on the acquisition of a majority stake in confectionery manufacturer Eichetti. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Eichetti is a confectionery manufacturer based in the Franconian town of Werneck (Schweinfurt district) that is primarily known for its ice cream confectionery specialties and fizzy drinks. Founded in 1897, the traditional company employs around 70 permanent staff and up to 20 seasonal workers, with sales of around EUR 10 million.
Rübezahl-Riegelein group, based in Dettingen/Teck and Cadolzburg, is a traditional supplier of seasonal articles but also has numerous year-round articles in its product range. With around 1,500 employees and sales of about EUR 280 million, the group produces some 50,000 tons of chocolate products and sugar confectionery in six plants. The family-operated group’s product range includes brands such as Riegelein, Sun Rice, Friedel, Gubor, Fanshop Sweets, and chocri.
