REACH-Regulation

The REACH Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 is the European chemicals regulation for the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemical substances. REACH has been in effect since 2007 and aims to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment. It is also designed to ensure the free movement of chemicals on the internal market and to promote competitiveness and innovation. REACH is based on the principle that manufacturers, importers, and downstream users take responsibility for their chemicals. They must ensure that the chemicals they produce and market are safely used. The REACH Regulation is considered to be one of the strictest chemical laws in the world.

We advise companies that are subject to the REACH regulation on all issues of implementation. This includes the identification of substances, preparations, and products, the legal obligations when importing them into the EU, the drafting of contracts with exclusive representatives, representation to ECHA, and dealing with other registrants.
