Ruhrsporthalle Mülheim

The City of Mülheim an der Ruhr constructed a sports hall with four different areas and a multi-functional sports hall. For this purpose, the contracts for planning services and turnkey construction of both sports halls and, as an option, also financing and operation, were to be awarded by means of a competition.
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek designed the procedure in such a way that it was possible to negotiate. After an economic comparison, however, operations and financing were taken on by the city itself, which led to a speedy and cost-effective awarding of the contract.
