Fuhrländer AG saved – New Ukrainian majority shareholders

Maksym Yefymov's Windgröße GmbH is the new majority shareholder of Fuhrländer AG, headquartered at Liebenscheid (Siegen region). Jointly with other private investors, the Ukrainian manager assumed from previous CEO and majority shareholder Joachim Fuhrländer the majority of the shares in Germany's oldest wind farm equipment manufacturer at the end of April 2012.

Mithril GmbH, a company held by investor Immo Ströher, that used to be a minority shareholder will no longer hold a stake in the company. Windreich AG, currently holding about 16.87 percent in Fuhrländer AG, will remain a Fuhrländer shareholder and intends to further increase its stake. Extensive cooperation and distribution agreements are to be concluded between Windreich and Fuhrländer. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Fuhrländer AG is a pioneer in the use of inland wind energy and has been among the first providers not only in Germany, but also in Western and Eastern Europe, Brazil, Vietnam and Ukraine. With a current equipment range at 2.0 MW, 2.5 MW and 3.0 MW output, Fuhrländer is offering state-of-the art equipment technology both for national and international projects.

Windreich AG has been a project developer of onshore and offshore wind power plants since 1999. With project planning, manufacturing, technical and commercial operations and its own stock and distribution of onshore and offshore equipment, Windreich is one of the pioneers in the offshore wind sector and as market leader has a pipeline of numerous permits of the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency for building offshore wind farms. In addition to Global Tech I, Windreich AG is currently establishing other wind farms in the German North Sea, including the MEG I project.
