Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek donating again to hospital in Afghanistan in 2016

In 2016, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is again supporting the Chak-e-Wardak hospital in Afghanistan, located 65 kilometers southwest of Kabul. The hospital is the only medical station for half a million people in the Wardak province.

The hospital serves more than 100,000 patients a year, 75 percent of which are women and children. Doctors, medication, and equipment are largely paid by donations.

The Chak-e-Wardak hospital was founded by German nurse Karla Schefter from Dortmund. Every year, she travels to Afghanistan and makes sure that the donations arrive directly on site.
