Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek supports exhibition "Reflections - site-specific works in the Franciscan monastery" in Düsseldorf
Supported by the commercial law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, the exhibition "Reflections - site-specific works in the Franciscan monastery" is opening in Düsseldorf today. The exhibition initiated by association Verein 701 e.V. will be held at Düsseldorf's Franciscan monastery at Immermannstraße, located at the corner with Oststraße, from August 14 to September 10.
Works of selected Düsseldorf artists will be shown on an exhibition area of some 2,500 square meters in the Franciscan monastery with cloisters, refectory and nave. The invited artists and selected works are to demonstrate the uniqueness of the site and time.
The era of Düsseldorf Franciscans on this site will comes to an end with the exhibition. The monastery will be torn down at the end of 2015 to make way for offices and homes. Its last public opening to the public is thus flanked by an exhibition that comments on the site and represents its specificity in the context of downtown.
Verein 701 e.V. - named after tram line 701 running across Düsseldorf - is a non-profit initiative of Düsseldorf personalities from arts and culture, business, and politics. It considers itself a link between business and art and aims to establish creative networks to sustainably strengthen and promote the city's creative image.
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek continues to be active in the field of arts funding and has an extensive art collection, which was established in particular upon the initiative of law firm founder Dr. Wolfgang Kühn.
