Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek Adds Attorney in the Area of Fund Structurings

At the beginning of July 2008, another attorney will join the Hamburg office of law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek. Hans-Jörg Simon is an expert in the structuring of closed-end funds and derivative financial instruments. Simon will support the team led by Dr. Stefan Duhnkrack and Dr. Michael Dröge, which, in particular, provides advice to the fund house industry. Prior to his joining Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, he worked in fund structuring at international law firm SJ Berwin LLP in Berlin. "Mr. Simon perfectly complements the growing area of structuring closed-end funds, in particular also with his tax expertise", Duhnkrack notes.

Simon is a specialist attorney for tax law and started working with the structuring of closed-end funds at Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz in Munich eight years ago. He has since become an expert in the industry. He focuses on the asset categories private equity, infrastructure, airplanes, secondary market life insurances and real estate, applying also offshore structures. In addition, Simon features particular expertise in the area of media funding. And he is a renowned expert in prospectus law, including in transborder issues.
