Krefelder Hafen (port) is privatized with the assistance of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek

The port of Krefeld celebrated its 100th anniversary on June 8, 2006. Since the current municipal owner operation of the port is no longer appropriate to the times, the port is being privatized. "With a private partner we hope to regain many companies who are located in and around the port as clients and also to attract some from farther away," announced the Krefeld head of department Abrahams. "But this is possible only on the basis of a more attractive offering, which we plan to create in cooperation with a private partner, to be determined by a Europe-wide invitation procedure."

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is assisting the town of Krefeld with this Europe-wide procedure for the selection of a strategic partner. The team around Dr. Ute Jasper has developed the procedure, provides consulting services throughout the competition, and drafts the contracts. International companies have tendered offers.
