Modern protective clothing for firefighters in Schleswig-Holstein

High-quality protective clothing is essential for rescue workers and at the same time represent a considerable investment for providers. Several municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein have now bundled their requirements and jointly brought them to the market. An innovative framework contract system allows rescue workers to place flexible orders from leading suppliers of protective clothing without having to invite bids for each item individually. The system further ensures that orders do not have to be placed exclusively on the basis of the lowest price but offers to be evaluated on the basis of performance criteria such as feel, stability, or comfort in relation to pricing. The system is easy to use and can therefore also be used in a legally compliant manner by laypersons who are not familiar with public procurement law.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek developed the assessment system for the municipalities and conducted the invitation to bid for the framework agreement.
