Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek Provides Counsel to AREVA Wind on Negotiating Supply and Service Contracts for 400 MW Global Tech I Wind Farm

About 110 kilometers northwest of Cuxhaven, offshore wind farm Global Tech I with a total installed capacity of 400 megawatts will be built. As of late summer 2012, the wind turbines are to be delivered. That same year, Global Tech I will be connected to the electrical grid as one of the first German North Sea wind farms and will be fully developed in 2013.

Contracts with a total of more than EUR 800 million for the delivery and maintenance of 80 wind turbines with a capacity of 5 MW each were now re-concluded between the project company and AREVA Wind GmbH and thus enter into force in final manner. The agreed terms meet the requirements of project financing.

Dr. Stefan Bretthauer and Dr. Kai Bandilla (both Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Hamburg) provided counsel to AREVA Wind on negotiating the wind turbine supply and long-term service contracts and in connection with project financing.
