LEG, advised by Heuking, sells Calor Carré in Ratingen to Westgard GmbH

A team led by Dr. Peter Vocke, Partner at Heuking, legally advised LEG on the sale of the Calor Carré property in Ratingen to Westgard GmbH. Comprising leasable space of 21,743 square meters, the property contains a retail park, a service center, a historic office building, and a hotel. The building ensemble further includes 672 parking spaces. Built in 2003 and 2004, the property is located on the former premises of ABB Calor Emag at Calor-Emag-Straße 3 - 7 and 8 as well as Bahnstraße 43 - 45.

LEG is a publicly listed German residential real estate company headquartered in Düsseldorf. Its portfolio is comprised around 146,000 apartments, 132,800 of which are located in North Rhine-Westphalia. Heuking regularly advises LEG on the acquisition and sale of properties and real estate portfolios.

Owned by real estate investor Philipp Tecklenburg, Düsseldorf-based Westgard GmbH specializes in investments in existing properties. The company is operating all throughout Germany as a project developer for large sites, mainly focusing on the Rhineland. In the future, Westgard will also develop a plot of 10,610 square meters adjacent to Calor Carré.
