Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek Provides Counsel to HypoVereinsbank on Restructuring Facility Management

As of April 1, 2009, STRABAG Property and Facility Services will take over the entire technical and commercial as well as infrastructural facility management for the about 1,000 real estate holdings of HypoVereinsbank in Germany.At the same time, in the course of this restructuring of HVB facility management, about 250 previous HVB employees will be taken over by STRABAG PFS. This takeover is accompanied by a multi-year guarantee of employment.Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek has provided advice to HypoVereinsbank on the restructuring of its facility management, on the drawing up of the contracts and on the contract negotiations with STRABAG PFS. The new contract structures take bank-specific requirements to facility management into consideration and guarantee the forward-looking setup and lasting performance of the facility management services for HypoVereinsbank.The counseling team was led by Dr. Thomas Nickel and Dr. Carsten Schrader, Dr. Rainer Velte was responsible for counseling on antitrust law. They are all Partners of independent German law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek.Following the counseling of Deutsche Telekom on the sale of its facility management subsidiary DeTe Immobilien to STRABAG, this has already been the second comprehensive facility management restructuring by Partners Dr. Nickel and Dr. Schrader within a year.
