Banking & Finance

The financial services sector is one of the most strictly regulated sectors of the economy.

In close collaboration with other Practice Groups, the Banking & Finance Practice Group offers its clients comprehensive legal advice ranging from the admission of an institution to the designing of contracts to financial products, and including representation in litigation.

Advising in matters of supervisory law focuses on supporting the establishment of credit and financial services institutions and the expansion of appropriate permits. In addition, we assist institutions in fulfilling their regulatory obligations to the relevant supervisory authorities, such as on (cross-border) outsourcing and capital adequacy.

Our financing experts advise on matters of acquisition financing, including the creation of collateral structures. This includes supporting our clients in the syndication of loans and the drafting of appropriate loan, collateral and pool agreements.

Our clients comprise banks, financial and payment service providers and other market participants.
