UBM Development takes over the development of FAZ headquarters in Frankfurt’s Europaviertel
A team led by Dr. Sönke Görgens, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, advised UBM Development Deutschland GmbH on the acquisition of the FAZ Tower project development company. UBM Development Deutschland (75 percent) and Paulus Immobilien Group (25 percent) are now developing the new headquarters of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and a hotel with 350 rooms in Frankfurt’s Europaviertel.
The office tower in the form of a double H comprises 18 floors with a total area of 27,300 square meters and an underground parking garage with 280 spaces. After completion, it will be entirely rented out to FAZ. The adjacent building will house a Leonardo Hotel with some 350 rooms across seven floors. Frankfurt’s Europaviertel is centrally located between the trade show grounds and the main railway station. The tower is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
UBM Development Deutschland is a real estate developer focusing on the asset classes hotel, residential, and office as well as on major European cities such as Vienna, Berlin, Munich, and Prague. The company has 145 years of experience and offers all services from planning to marketing.
