Growth in Turbulent Times: Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek Expands Team and Office Space in Munich

Reorganization Lecture Series is Highly Popular

The law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek adds lawyers in Munich, expands its office space and moves into an additional floor at the Prinzregentenstraße location.

"We are currently 21 lawyers in Munich," says Prof. Dr. Georg Streit, Equity Partner of the law firm and Leader of the Reorganization Practice Group. "Following the addition in the field of public law and the strategic expansion of the office, we now require more space for our competent team of highly qualified experts. To expand to the third floor is the optimum solution for that."

The step has become necessary not least because of the addition of Equity Partners Roland Gerold, Michael Nusser and of Associates Fabian Gerstner and Maître en Droit, Dr. Stephan Degen, Tax Advisor, who all joined the Munich Heuking team from competitors in April and May of this year.

Also strengthened was thereby the team of the Reorganization Practice Group whose expertise on issues of insolvency law and reorganization is particularly in demand at this time. This is also evidenced by the current lecture series held this year under the title "The Industrial Crisis - Opportunities and Risks." Streit, who recently was awarded honorary professorship at Mannheim University in recognition of his teaching position held for many years and his numerous publications, initiated the highly popular lecture series. "A total of 220 participants were welcomed at our four seminar events in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich. In Munich alone, more than 80 high caliber guests visited us," says Streit.

The Reorganization Practice Group provided information on current issues under reorganization law, such as on the acquisition of companies in crisis and insolvency, on short-time work and KfW financing which were discussed with visitors. "Especially in times of recession, companies need to recognize the risks and use the opportunities offered even in such situations. In particular demand is our specialization, legal presence on site and our entrepreneurial understanding for the client. By providing competent counseling, we are able to identify solutions and concepts for our clients' successful work," explains Streit.
