Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek once again top ranked in public procurement law

The business law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is again top ranked this year in public procurement law in the major lawyer ranking issued by JUVE publishing house. The new 2016/2017 Handbook of Commercial Law Firms calls it "one of the leading procurement law practices that enjoys excellent reputation particularly in innovative transportation awards." The JUVE editorial department emphasizes the fact that the procurement law practice is continually entering "legal uncharted territory."

The industry analyst further highlights the law firm in Public Sector: Public Environmental and Planning Law and State Aid Law, and in Regulated Industries: Transportation Sector. Lawyers Ute Jasper, Ulf Christiani, and Martin Schellenberg are frequently recommended in the ranking.

"We are very pleased to be recognized by JUVE's again," said Ute Jasper, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in Düsseldorf and head of the Public Sector & Public Procurement practice group. "The award encourages us to continue to explore ever new ways with our clients and to question the existing and traditional."

The JUVE ranking is based on numerous interviews and research by the JUVE editorial team and is published in the fall of each year. In 2016, the Public Sector & Public Procurement practice group advised on numerous large-scale projects. The team supported the billion-euro project RRX, advised the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transportation on developing and implementing vehicle financing models (regional rail transport), and assisted the Aachen City Region in its legal action against the Tihange 2 nuclear plant. In addition, the experts advise on the successor project to "HERKULES," a public-private partnership with IBM and Siemens, which has been providing key elements of information technology for the German Army for ten years.
