Advising Duisburg-Essen University
We have been advising University of Duisburg-Essen on several award procedures since 2016, including the Future Water Campus and cafeteria reconstruction projects:
University of Duisburg-Essen’s Center for Water and Environmental Research intends to have a new research building (Future Water Campus) constructed, consisting of a large experimental hall and a think tank with offices and seminar rooms. The think tank is to be set up as a “smart building” that adapts dynamically to its surroundings. The large experimental hall will be used for research on algae and water quality for the sustainable use of water.
The new cafeteria is intended to offer modern forms of nutrition and, in addition, an area for up to 2,600 people for information, work, and relaxation.
We advise University of Duisburg-Essen on the Future Water Campus project and the cafeteria reconstruction project comprehensively on issues relating to civil law, public procurement law, contract law, and subsidy law. We design the award procedure, accompany the coordination with subsidy providers, draft contracts and negotiate them with the bidders.
In addition, we represent University of Duisburg-Essen in review proceedings and civil court proceedings and have advised it on other award procedures.
