Advising Stadtwerke Stuttgart GmbH on the acquisition of a wind farm in Everswinkel

On October 18, 2013, public utilities company Stadtwerke Stuttgart signed a contract for the acquisition of the wind farm in Everswinkel, North-Rhine Westphalia and is now beginning to offer electricity generated from wind power. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek comprehensively advised Stadtwerke Stuttgart GmbH on the acquisition of the Everswinkel wind farm from BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH, a subsidiary of BayWa AG.

Stadtwerke Stuttgart is thus extending its power generation portfolio in the area of wind power and for the first time now has plants supplying green energy from wind power. Everswinkel wind farm, developed and built by BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH, lies east of Münster. The eight wind energy systems supplied by manufacturer VESTAS have a total output of 16 megawatts and jointly supply more than 10,000 households. The investment volume is in excess of EUR 25 million.
