Axel Kemmler sells Kemmler Kopier Systeme GmbH to Liberta Partners

A team led by Heuking partner Dr. Hermann Ali Hinderer legally advised the shareholder of Kemmler Kopier Systeme GmbH on the company’s acquisition by Liberta Partners. Axel Kemmler, founder and sole shareholder, will remain with the company as general manager and shareholder. In the transaction, Liberta Partners was supported by BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH.

Based in Kaiserslautern, Kemmler Kopier Systeme GmbH is one of the largest providers of managed services for office infrastructure in Rhineland-Palatinate. Its core expertise lies in Managed Print Services (MPS) and includes the management of printer infrastructure, in particular optimizing, analyzing, and automating customers’ printing, scanning, and copying processes. In addition, the company is expanding its digital document management systems (DMS) business. Kemmler Kopier Systeme GmbH operates at three sites and serves some 2,150 customers.

Liberta Partners is a multi-family holding company founded in Munich in 2016. The fund primarily invests in corporate carve-outs and successions of family businesses with a strong focus on supporting its portfolio companies’ operational development. Its 15 employees work in M&A, Corporate Development, and Legal departments.
