State Archive of North Rhine-Westphalia: Relocation of the State Archive of North Rhine-Westfalia

The State Archive of North Rhine-Westphalia is moving into the historic warehouse building (formerly the warehouse of the Rhine-Westphalia forwarding company) at Duisburg Inner Harbor. Archived material (historical documents, marriage and birth registrations, aerial photographs, film recordings, etc.) must be relocated to the new building in compliance with special climatic conditions from six locations in North Rhine-Westphalia. It must be guaranteed at all times that the documents are sorted and filed in the new archive according to the precise registration data. Otherwise, they would be irretrievable.
