“Hamburg History Live” – the magazine of the Historic Museums Hamburg Foundation

The Historic Museums Hamburg Foundation combines the most important museum institutions of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg that are committed to the history of the city, the region, and Northern Germany. With almost 400,000 visitors a year, the Foundation is one of Hamburg’s most-visited museum organizations.

In the future, the Foundation intends to publish a magazine in print and online versions, which will offer visitors direct insight into the Foundation’s work and outstanding exhibitions.

On the basis of a Europe-wide invitation to bid, the Foundation received a conceptual presentation from four of the best corporate publishing agencies after which Hamburg-based company Verlagskontor für Medieninhalte GmbH was selected. The way the provider combined online and offline offerings and how it intends to collaborate to highlight the strengths of the museum offerings were particularly convincing in selecting the winning bidder.

We designed the selection process and conducted the negotiations jointly with the Foundation.
