Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek Adds Additional Partner: Frederik Wiemer Will Practice Antitrust Law in Hamburg and Brussels as of June 2010

Frederik Wiemer (40) joins the law firm from Allen & Overy in Hamburg, where he has been working as Counsel since 2007. The antitrust law expert with a doctor's degree will be a further member of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's antitrust law practices at its Hamburg and Brussels offices.

After having completed studies in law and economics in Heidelberg and Strasbourg, having earned a doctor's degree and having performed his legal clerkship in Cologne, Wiemer began his professional career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Düsseldorf and London at the beginning of 2000.

Wiemer has long-standing professional experience in all areas of German and European antitrust law. He counsels primarily in antitrust proceedings on fines, abuse and damages, in German and European merger control and in antitrust issues relating to associations, cooperation arrangements and distribution channels. In addition, he is experienced in trials before the European Court of Justice and German courts.

"With the addition of Frederik Wiemer and particularly his comprehensive antitrust trial experience, we are continuing to expand our counseling range in the field of antitrust law", says Dr. Andreas Urban, Managing Partner of the law firm, of the second partner added this year.
