Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Dr. Dieter Murmann Beteiligungsgesellschaft on the acquisition of Profilator Group

Dr. Dieter Murmann Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, Kiel, acquired Profilator group, managed by Profilator GmbH & Co. KG with headquarters in Wuppertal, including all locations in Germany and the USA as well as a participation in the Czech Republic, from founding shareholder Wera Werk Hermann Werner GmbH & Co. KG.

Profilator group is a leading developer and manufacturer of metal-cutting machines. Established in the 1960's as a tool manufacturer for its own tool division, Profilator has developed into a global leader of special tool machines for gear construction due to continuous technological innovation.

The group employs a staff of more than 100. The existing management team will remain with the company. With the sale of the mechanical engineering division, Wera concentrates on its core business: the development, production, and sale of high-quality screwing tools.

The holding company of the Dr. Dieter Murmann family thus continues its expansion into sound mechanical engineering companies to complement its portfolio. The acquisition price was not disclosed. Dr. Dieter Murmann Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH was advised by a team led by Dr. Stefan Duhnkrack, Hamburg-based partner of the commercial law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek.
