Qualifications/current topics
Dr. Alexander Jüngst is an Equity Partner at HEUKING in Cologne. He advises financial investors, strategic investors and corporates on national and cross-border M&A and private equity transactions, joint ventures and restructurings, with a particular focus on the mid-cap segment. A core area of his practice is guiding clients through structured sale processes – from transaction structuring and the design of competitive bidding procedures through to a successful closing. Drawing on many years of experience in this market, he brings a strong network and a deep understanding of the particular dynamics of mid-market transactions, including extensive experience in entrepreneurial succession situations.
A further focus of his practice is advising private equity investors and platform companies on investments, add-on acquisitions and the development and execution of buy-and-build strategies. He takes a particular interest in developing practical, repeatable processes for scalable acquisition structures.
Dr. Alexander Jüngst also regularly advises on the structuring and negotiation of joint ventures in both majority and minority constellations. He has an in-depth understanding of the competing interests of the parties involved and extensive experience in designing bespoke governance frameworks – covering information and control rights, anti-dilution protection, and exit and deadlock mechanisms.
Prior to joining HEUKING in 2020, Alexander spent eight years at Linklaters LLP in the Düsseldorf and New York offices.
