City of Pinneberg awards management contract for street lighting with Heuking
The City of Pinneberg successfully concluded a new contract for the operation of public street lighting. Following a Europe-wide competition and negotiations, the contract, at a value in the single-digit million range, was awarded to SPIE SAG GmbH.
The new operational management contract forms the basis for more environmentally friendly and efficient lighting, including by successive conversion to LED lighting.
The City of Pinneberg owns the lighting systems in the contractual territory with some 1,800 street lights. About 4,400 light point units are managed along 220 km of roads and paths.
