HEUKING advises Bafin on the conclusion of a long-term commercial lease at RAW Frankfurt

Susanne Monsig, Partner at HEUKING's Cologne office, and Mathis Dick, Salaried Partner at HEUKING's Düsseldorf office, provided legal advice to the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bafin) on the negotiation and conclusion of a commercial lease for approximately 23,000 square meters at RAW Frankfurt.

The long-term lease, with a term of 15 years, secures space for Bafin in the listed Brutalist ensemble at Stephensonstraße 1 in Frankfurt am Main. As a major tenant, Bafin will occupy three wings of the RAW building, providing it with a self-contained building-within-a-building solution.

Move-in is planned for 2028 following the completion of the building's comprehensive revitalization. The campus concept includes, among other things, a wide range of uses as well as a modern canteen and a daycare center. Photovoltaic systems form part of the sustainability concept. A further locational advantage is the central position between the Europaviertel and the Gallusviertel, in close proximity to the trade fair grounds, the main railway station and the city center.

On Bafin's side, the negotiations were managed by the Real Estate Management and Central Procurement departments.

Susanne Monsig and Mathis Dick previously advised Bafin on public procurement and real estate law matters in connection with the lease of a total of four office buildings with underground car parks and outdoor facilities on the campus at Justus-von-Liebig-Straße in Bonn.
