DPE Deutsche Private Equity invests in DARE group with Heuking

A team led by Dr. Peter Christian Schmidt legally advised funds advised by DPE Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) on its investment in Berlin-based DARE group (DARE), a leading deconstruction/demolition specialist. Supported by DPE, DARE will invest in expanding local capacities and actively consolidate the nationwide market. General managers Robert Schliewin and Christopher Schmidt-Bleek will continue to manage the company as co-owners and implement the growth and consolidation strategy jointly with DPE. The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.

DARE specializes in deconstruction/demolition and pollutant remediation work as well as the disposal of construction site waste. Founded in 2001, the company is a leading provider of construction waste disposal services in the greater Berlin area with more than 70 employees and a 22,000 square meter treatment facility for hazardous and non-hazardous waste with interim storage facilities in accordance with the German Immission Protection Act.

DPE is an independent German investment company and one of Germany’s largest growth capital providers. It focuses on SMEs in German-speaking countries operating in industries with positive long-term development prospects. Since its establishment in 2007, DPE has invested in 32 companies that have made over 100 add-on acquisitions and today employ 10,540 people. DPE manages total assets of some EUR 2.2 billion.
