HEUKING advises Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH on successful corporate bond placement
Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH has successfully placed its new 2025/2032 corporate bond on the market with a total volume of EUR 120 million. The offering attracted strong demand from both institutional investors in Germany and abroad as well as from private investors, resulting in an oversubscription. The annual fixed interest rate was set at 7.5% during the bookbuilding process. The Cologne-based HEUKING team led by capital markets lawyers Dr. Thorsten Kuthe and Miriam Schäfer legally advised on the transaction in Germany.
Since its debut on the capital market in 2012, the long-established family-owned company has now successfully issued its fourth bond. The 2025/2032 corporate bond, structured in the Nordic Bond format, marks a strategic milestone in the company’s efforts to broaden its international investor base. The placement included an exchange offer for the existing 2021/2026 bond, a multiple purchase option, and the opportunity to subscribe to new notes.
Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH, headquartered in Munich, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of thin, highly refined wood fiberboards. With production facilities in Germany, Poland, and Lithuania, the company supplies the furniture, door, and coating industries worldwide. Homann Holzwerkstoffe has been active on the capital market through bond issuances since 2012.
With the latest Homann bond, the HEUKING team led by Kuthe once again advised on the public offering of a Nordic bond, including the drafting of the prospectus. The issuance was supported by IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG and Pareto Securities AS, Frankfurt Branch, as joint lead managers, and by IR.on as communications advisor.
