Two New Partners for Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Munich Office

As of February 1, 2011, Boris Dürr (37) and Astrid Wellhöner (41) will join Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Munich office as Equity Partners.

Corporate/M&A lawyer Boris Dürr most recently was a Partner at RP Richter & Partner and previously worked at Shearman & Sterling and Preu Bohlig & Partner. He will be joined by two Associates, Dr. Philipp Gantenberg and Alice Ballwieser. Dürr's legal work focuses on the fields of Corporate, M&A and Capital Market Law. He has particular industry expertise in healthcare, where among others he advises Sana-Kliniken Group.

In addition, Boris Dürr provides counsel to private equity funds and strategic investors on M&A transactions as well as listed and privately held companies on corporate law and capital market law projects. "I am expecting synergies in many areas from this change. In particular, I see great potential in the handling of IPOs and other capital market transactions since Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek has already a lot of experience in this area," Dürr comments on his change.

Employment lawyer Astrid Wellhöner started her career at CMS Hasche Sigle in Stuttgart and subsequently was Partner at RP Richter & Partner in Munich. Joining her will be Associate Judith Neu. Astrid Wellhöner is experienced both in continuous counseling of large mid-sized companies and in the project and transaction business. Among others, she was part of the team led by Dürr that last year had assumed the rehab business of listed hospital group Marseille for Auctus Capital Partners AG.

Her counseling focuses on clients from the bookstore and publishing industries and on healthcare.

Wellhöner will further increase the employment law practice at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Munich office.

The successful expansion of the Munich office of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek will thus also continue at the beginning of 2011. The newly added lawyers are testament to the fact that there is ongoing attractiveness of the Munich office. The office has 31 lawyers in the meantime.

"We are glad that the extremely positive trend in Munich continues and the office is always expanded with excellent colleagues so that business can further be increased," said Dr. Mathias Schröder, LL.M., Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Munich office.
