AUCTUS acquires laboratory equipment specialist a1-envirosciences

A team led by M&A partner Boris Dürr comprehensively legally advised private equity investor AUCTUS on its acquisition of a1-envirosciences group, which includes a1-envirosciences GmbH of Düsseldorf and a1-envirosciences Ltd. of Warrington (UK), from UK-based Diploma plc. AUCTUS is acquiring a1 group to support its continued organic growth, including by adding new product lines and entering additional geographic territories. In addition, growth will also be accelerated by way of acquisitions of additional laboratory supply specialists as part of a pan-European buy-and-build approach.

a1-envirosciences is a reputable specialist for elemental analyzers for environmental testing as well as for containment solutions for medical laboratories. a1 operates sites in Germany, the UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Its business model includes consulting, sales, user training, and maintenance of systems to provide a comprehensive service.
