HEUKING advises AL-KO on the sale of AL-KO Gardentech to Chinese group Ningbo Daye Garden Machinery

A Heuking team led by Munich-based M&A Partners Boris Dürr and Christian Schild legally advised AL-KO group on the sale of its AL-KO Gardentech division to Chinese group Ningbo Daye Garden Machinery. Following regulatory approval, the transaction was successfully concluded with closing of the transaction at the beginning of February 2025.

The division, consisting of AL-KO Geräte GmbH as the parent company and subsidiaries in Austria, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, among others, generates annual sales exceeding EUR 250 million and employs over 700 people across 19 sites.

Ningbo Daye Garden Machinery Co. Ltd., a Chinese group listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange, specializes in the development, production, and distribution of landscape maintenance products.

The team led by Boris Dürr and Christian Schild regularly advises AL-KO group and its shareholder PRIMEPULSE on M&A transactions and strategic projects. Recent mandates include the sale of a majority stake in publicly listed STEMMER IMAGING AG to U.S. private equity investor MiddleGround Capital and the sale of glueck kanja group to Norwegian private equity firm Norvestor.
