Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises DPE Deutsche Private Equity on sale of Interschalt to Cargotec
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised the DPE Deutschland II A and B funds, advised by DPE Deutsche Private Equity GmbH, on the sale of their majority stake in INTERSCHALT maritime Systems AG, Schenefeld, to Finnish Cargotec, based in Helsinki.
INTERSCHALT is a leading provider of specialized software and related services to the maritime industry. With its StowMan stowage planning software and the further developed StowMan [S] that was introduced in 2014, as well as its MACS3 loading computer, INTERSCHALT is a global leader in loading computer and stowage planning software. Publicly listed Cargotec is a leading provider of cargo and load handling solutions for maritime transportation and offshore industries. Cargotec has some 10,300 employees and operations in more than 140 countries worldwide.
DPE Deutsche Private Equity is a Munich-based investor specializing in long-term expansion financing of mid-sized companies in German-speaking markets.
The transaction is among others still subject to clearance by the Federal Cartel Office.
