Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek Advises Fincantieri on Sale of Stake in Lloyd Werft

Italian shipbuilding group Fincantieri sold its stake of about 20 percent in Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven GmbH to Petram Beteiligungs GmbH.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek had already provided counsel to Fincantieri on the acquisition of the interest in Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven GmbH in 2006 and now also advised it on the sale of the stake.

Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, headquartered in Trieste, is one of the world's largest builder of vessels. The group's core business is the construction of large cruise ships and ferries as well as other types of ships for naval and commercial purposes.

In addition to new shareholder Dieter Petram, among others the State of Bremen will keep its stake of 13.16 percent in the shipyard specializing in the retrofitting and repair of ships.
