Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Host Europe Group on the acquisition of velia.net Internetdienste GmbH, Hanau, the acquisition of OpenIT GmbH, Düsseldorf, and the acquisition of MCS Moorbek Computer Systeme GmbH, Hamburg.

velia.net Internetdienste GmbH, headquartered in Hanau, was founded in 2000. The company with subsidiaries in the U.S. and Hong Kong offers a wide range of hosting solutions and has data centers in Frankfurt, Miami, and Los Angeles.
 
Core business of OpenIT GmbH, also founded in 2000 and headquartered in Düsseldorf, is the managed hosting of Internet applications for companies and public authorities. In Connecta Parc Düsseldorf, OpenIT operates a data center that is certified according to IT Baseline Protection/ISO 27001. The company's offering ranges from the management of corporate websites to outsourcing solutions for the SME sector to the operation of e-commerce platforms for international corporations. OpenIT GmbH’s services are rounded out by the software development division.
 
MCS Moorbek Computer Systeme GmbH, headquartered in Hamburg, has provided solutions for all issues related to IT system engineering, hosting, and software development in its own data center in Hamburg since 1992.
