Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek recognized by India Business Law Journal for the fourth time

For the fourth time in a row, India Business Law Journal has recognized Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek as "leading international law firm for India work." In its "Intelligence Report," which appears annually in the June issue, the magazine features foreign firms for their India-related activities. The magazine confers the awards on the basis of its own research and a survey carried out at Indian law firms and companies. The award by the India Business Law Journal is the second professional recognition of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's India Practice this year. The international "Chambers Global 2016" handbook highlighted its work in the fields of Corporate/M&A.

The Indian economy is young and dynamic and recently experienced economic growth of some 7%. The country is well on the way to generate the world's third-largest GDP, behind China and the US, by the middle of the century. The Modi government maintains its objective of making India an open and attractive world economy for foreign investment. Just a few days ago, the Indian government announced further liberalization of foreign direct investment regulations in relevant industry sectors. In addition, India aims to pursue major infrastructure projects. For example, industrial corridors and smart cities are to be built.

The India Practice of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Indian clients on activities in Germany and Europe and supports German clients in entering the Indian market. "Thanks to our many years of experience, we can successfully handle both inbound and outbound projects in various areas," said Dr. Martin Imhof, Partner of the firm and Head of the India Desk. "The cooperation with a small number of leading Indian law firms allows us to provide our clients with tailor-made advice."
